THIS WEEK IN DIGITAL LEARNING

AI for Student Use

For this week's AI tool, I wanted to introduce you to another Chatbot...one that does not require an account to use and is designed for educational purposes! It is called Byte by Code Breaker

Byte

Since no accounts are required, students CAN use Byte! Last week, I talked about some examples of prompts that teachers could use with chatbots. For students, chatbots can do more than just write papers for them.

One great way students could use Byte is to enhance their understanding of a challenging topic:

Prompt: I don't understand how to solve a trigonometric equation. Can you give me a simple real world example and explain how to solve it using plain English?

Byte's Response:

Byte's response

Chatbots could also be used to help students study for an upcoming test:

Prompt: Can you ask me some questions that might be on my upcoming Biology test on photosynthesis?

Byte's Response:

Byte's Response

One final example would be for students to use a chatbot to help them come up with an idea for a project:

Prompt: I have to make a hands-on project for my English class about the book "Of Mice and Men". Can you give me some ideas?

Byte's Response:

Obviously there are many more ways you could utilize AI with your students in the classroom. Be creative and test it out to see if you can find some beneficial ways for students to use AI to enhance their learning!
