Creating Engaging Learning Experiences with SchoolAI Spaces

The last two weeks, I have introduced some AI tools built into SchoolAI that help make your life easier as a teacher. This week, I want to show you how your students can interact with SchoolAI! SchoolAI has these things called "Spaces" that are essentially customized chatbots designed to work with students on a variety of specific subjects and tasks. The best part about these Spaces is that you as a teacher get a transcript of all student conversations!

To peruse the Spaces that have already been created, click on the Discover tab under "Spaces" in SchoolAI:

I won't talk about every option because...as you can see, there are a ton! But here are a few things that might be of interest to you:

To run a Space with students, you simply click the "Launch" button and then share the link. Students will not create accounts - they will just enter their name (or a code name if you'd prefer). If they want to come back to the activity later, they will need to bookmark the page once they get there. This will bookmark their specific conversation.

Once the students start interacting with the Space, you will immediately see the transcript as well as an AI generated overview of how well the students are doing:

And if all of these options aren't enough...you can even create your own custom Space to interact with your students however you want! To create your own, click on the "Create" tab under "Spaces" in SchoolAI.

So what's the catch? What are the limitations? You can always access everything throughout SchoolAI, BUT...when it comes to Spaces, you can only have 150 participants per day per teacher (across all of your Spaces). This just increased from 75 - but keep an eye out as it may change again. This means that if you have more than 150 students in a day, you would not be able to run Spaces with all of your students in a single day. But the numbers reset each day.

If you want to test out what a Space looks like, head on over to this one! It is a quick "Choose Your Own Adventure" based on whatever topic you enter at the beginning.
